1844.  A hoard of over 600 1844 dimes has recently been broken up and the coins are gradually being released into the market.  As a result, the prices of 1844 dimes are declining.  Until the market for 1844 dimes has stabilized, we will not offer any 1844 dimes for sale, nor will we offer to purchase any.
1844 Dime XF-40.  I remember what I said about 1844 dimes, but this coin was irresistible and priced right so I am passing on the savings to you.  Coin Values has it at $1,200 and Greysheet bid is $900.        LOWERED PRICE        $795 was 1000

  1858-O Dime, G-4.      $25
Quantity:
1858-S Dime PCGS XF-45.  This coin has the details of an AU coin, but was probably graded at XF-45 because it is toned and without significant lustre.  The 1856-S, 1858-S and 1859-S dimes are all difficult to locate in XF and above and especially so in a PCGS holder.  LOWERED PRICE    $3,750 was 4750

Quantity:
1862-S Dime, VG-8, pinscratches.   $150
Quantity:
1863 Dime, AU-58, PCGS Genuine, cleaned (very lightly), business strike as indicated by the PCGS coin number.   A real, real nice coin that's quite rare as a business strike.              $1,750
Quantity:
1863 Dime, PCGS F-12, looks VF.        NEW     $1,350
Quantity:
1863 Dime, VG-10, two small toned-over obv. digs.   In my opinion, the 1863 is the scarcest of the 1863 - 1867 issues in circulated condition.  I know it's expensive, but try to find another one.          $900
Quantity:
1863-S Dime, AU-50, a couple small obv. digs.        $875
Quantity:
1863-S Dime, F-12, obv. pinscratch.        NEW     $250

1864 Dime, PCGS AU-50.  A very difficult to find 1864 business strike in high grade.        NEW             $1,950
Quantity:
1864 Dime, F-12, full LIBERTY, very very very slight bend (coin spins when obverse is face-up), "ONE DIME" weaker as usual for this issue.  If you put your coins in an album, you won't notice the v.v.v.slight bend.   $750
Quantity:
1864-S Dime, F-15/VG-10.             $130
Quantity:
1865 Dime, PCGS VF-20.        NEW     $1,500
Quantity:
1865 Dime, F-12 NGC.  Greer-101, repunched date, business strike.  Slight rotated reverse.        ON HOLD                        $1,025
Quantity:
1865 Dime, VG-8 ANACS.                   $850
Quantity:
1865-S Dime, PCGS VF-20.      $525
Quantity:
1866 Dime PCGS XF-40 business strike, F-102b with die clashing visible on the reverse, an R6 variety.  A very rare coin.  Definitely the Philadelphia Mint coin because the date slopes upward left to right, and definitely the business strike because the upper wheat stalks are joined by a die crack.    Its 8,000 business strike mintage is the second lowest mintage of regular issue dimes from 1796 thru now!        $2,000
Quantity:
1866 Dime VG-8 obv. / Good-4 rev.  In an ANACS Good-4 holder, but definitely better than the stickered grade.  Definitely the Philadelphia Mint coin because the date slopes upward left to right.  Compare with the 1866-S Weak S coin below.  A decent specimen of this rare date for those collectors working on a circulated set of business strikes.       $900

Quantity:

1866 Dime PCGS AG-3.  In my opinion, the coin is Good-4.  Rare, rare coin.  Definitely the Philadelphia Mint coin because the date slopes upward left to right.  Compare with the 1866-S Weak S coin below.  Obverse is a little stronger as three letters of LIBERTY show, reverse has a weak rim. $775
Quantity:
Illustration of 1866-S, Weak S.  The "S" is very weak "S" but it is still an 1866-S.  Many people, especially non-numismatist sellers, would mistakenly call this coin an 1866 Philadelphia Mint dime.  Note that the date sloping downward from left to right identifies the coin as an 1866-S.
1866-S Dime, VF-30, small obv. pinscratches.             $395
Quantity:
1866-S Dime, Weak S, VF-30, a few minor pinscratches.                $425
Quantity:
1867 Dime, PCGS VF-25, business strike, F-102.  The date position with the left edge of the flag of the "1" under the space between stripes 8 and 9 of the shield, confirms that this is the business strike.  A rare coin as there were only 6,000 business strikes minted, which is the lowest mintage of regular issue dimes from 1796 thru now.       $2,000
Quantity:
1867 Dime, PR-62, a bright white coin.                   $975
Quantity:
1867-S Dime, AU-53.             $950
Quantity:
1868 Dime EF-45, a few pinscratches.  $250
Quantity:
1868 Dime, EF-40. pinscratches, nice mid-grey color.              $225
Quantity:
1868 Dime, VF-20, pinscratches, ticks, microcorrosion.             $150
Quantity:
1868-S Dime, F-12, lt. corrosion, very very slight bend.    $90
Quantity:
1869 Dime, VF-20, light scratches, mostly toned over.              $175
Quantity:
1869 Dime, VF-20, small obv. scratches.        $160
Quantity:
1869 Dime Fine-12, Long Flag, F-105a, R4.  Has an obverse dig by E of UNITED and a reverse scratch at 12 o'clock.  Still a decent-looking coin and a difficult date to find.               $125
Quantity:
1869-S Dime VF-35, some spots.  $200
Quantity:
1869-S Dime, VF, lt. roughness.      $120
Quantity:
1869-S Dime, AG-3, punchmark in center of obv.      $15
Quantity:
1870-S Dime F-12, weaker reverse as is usual for this issue.       $675
Quantity:
1871-S Dime AU, sm. obv. scrape. $650 was 725
Quant ity:
1871-S Dime, VF-20, cleaned, some pinscratches and both "N"s on the reverse are weak.                   $180
Quantity:
1872-CC Dime, NGC VF-30 and it has nice surfaces, which is unusual for an early CC Mint dime. $6,500
Quantity:
1872-CC Dime, PCGS FR-2.  I think it is close to AG-3, but it probably got the Fr-2 grade because only the upper half of right "c" of mintmark is visible.  The coin is in a PCGS holder so you don't have to worry about authenticity.  $900 was 1050
Quantity:
1872-S Dime, PCGS F-15, weak "ONE DIME" as usual.      $395
Quantity:
1872-S Dime, VG-10, some pinscratches incl. one in the rim below "87".     $180
Quantity:
1873 No Arrows Dime Closed 3, AU-50, cleaned, a few pinscratches. $425
Quantity:
  1873-S Dime, G-4.       $35
Quantity:
1874-CC Dime EF details, scratched and with some reverse corrosion.  In an NCS holder.  The rarest collectible CC mint Seated dime.  It won't get into a PCGS slab, but it is nicer than most 1874-CC dimes.  $12,000 was 13950
Quantity:
1875-S Dime, S Above Wreath, PCGS MS-63.  A tough date to find with the mintmark above the wreath.        NEW      $395

Quantity:
1879 Dime F-15 obv. / F-12 rev., the repunched date F-104a, R4.         $400
Quantity:
1879 Dime, G-6/G-4, 5 letters of LIBERTY, pinscratches.                $295
Quantity:
1880 Dime, PCGS XF-45.  A tough business strike to find.                        $500
Quantity:
1881 Dime, PCGS VG-8, full LIBERTY, usual weak reverse as seen on most 1881 dimes. $475
Quantity:
  1884-S Dime, F-12, light scratches.            $30
