  |
1847 Seated
Dollar, VG-8 / F-12, lt. clean, very few marks on the coin, except
for two tiny pinscrs. near the eagle. An unscratched dollar of
this grade and vintage is unusual, because dollar coins had a
tendency to rattle around with each other during shipment. |
$395

1848 Seated
Dollar, F-12, cleaned in obv. fields. |

1848 Seated
Dollar, Choice Good-6.

  |
1850 Seated
Dollar, PCGS Genuine, AU-55 detail, "altered
surfaces" I believe they are referring to the right obv. field
which has suffered too much rubbing. Still a very difficult
date with only 7,500 minted, and a coin with considerable eye
appeal. |
$3,650
|
  |
1853 Seated
Dollar, EF-40, very light cleaning.
NEW |
$1,000
|
  |
1854 Seated
Dollar, PCGS Genuine, Unc. detail, "damage". Damage
consists of scratches (mostly toned back) in both obverse fields,
not visible from 6" away but very evident under magnification.
You might want to pick up this rare date at half the price of one
without scratches. |
$6,750
|
  |
1854 Seated
Dollar, PCGS Genuine, AU detail, "cleaned".
Just a little too bright to get into a graded holder. The
buyer may want to put it on a windowsill for a year or two, then
resubmit it. Note: the ad lists this coin at $4,950 but
it is $4,650.
NEW |
$4,650

  |
1855 Seated
Dollar, VF-30, minor ticks in fields. One of the
toughest dates in the series after the CC's and the
1851-2-8. Tough to find in VF, most are higher grade and more
money. |
$3,600
|
  |
1856 Seated
Dollar, VG-8, lt. cleaning.
NEW
ON HOLD |
$900
|
  |
1857 Seated
Dollar, EF-45, an old cleaning, one scratch in l. field
next to elbow, nice look, and a tough date, probably just as
difficult to find as the 1855.
NEW |
$1,950
|
  |
1859-S Seated
Dollar, EF-40, lt. cleaned.

  |
1865 Seated
Dollar, AU-53, has been dipped (not by me) and has some
ticks in the fields. Still much nicer than most. |
$1,950
|
  |
1866 Seated
Dollar, VF-20, mostly original, decent eye appeal.
ON HOLD |
$725
|
  |
1867 Seated
Dollar, PCGS AU-58. Nice silver colored coin with a slight bit
of wear keeping it out of the Mint State grades. Bright coin,
but not too bright. |
$3,450
|
  |
1871-CC Seated
Dollar, NCS, VF details, improperly cleaned. A light to
medium-grey coin, and it hasn't been abrasively cleaned. I
think it would slab on a good day. |
$10,500
|
  |
1872-CC Seated
Dollar, PCGS VF-20.
A very nice coin, and it is difficult to find Carson City Seated
Dollars in PCGS holders.
NEW |
$6,250
|
  |
1872-CC Seated
Dollar, PCGS Genuine, "damage". I believe the damage is to the
left of star 12 which appears to have been smoothed. |
